The lodge is about an hour by boat from Puerto Maldonado, right by the side of the Tambopata River and consists of 24 spacious bungalows with private bathrooms. Generally 2 or 3 people are sharing a room.

AMAUTA was the first dedicated Spanish School in Cusco, located in an attractive building just one block from the main square that has great views of Cusco. The school is equipped with multimedia classrooms, offices, an internet café, a spacious meeting room and a lovely sunny terrace.

Accommodation
The school currently offers two accommodation options within the city of Cusco: the AMAUTA student residence and local host families. We recommend to book accommodation with us to maximize the language learning. Besides two meals are provided – usually breakfast and lunch.Accommodation

Cultural activities
AMAUTA offers daily student activities such as Peruvian cooking class, salsa lessons, Latin American cinema and more. A lot of them are based on Peru´s Inca and Spanish traditions. Enjoy the activities and increase your knowledge of Latin American culture!Cultural Activities

Volunteer Work
The AMAUTA Volunteer Work Program provides the unique opportunity to live and work abroad. Students and volunteers will experience first-hand Peru’s rich cultural diversity while practicing their Spanish as they will speak Spanish from early in the morning till late at night. Through the Volunteer Program, AMAUTA and the volunteers are able to make contributions to Peruvian society and to help bridge the gap between foreign visitors and native Cusqueños. There are many different volunteer opportunities at different projects as well as internships and/or traineeships, where you can be placed once you finish your Spanish lessons. Volunteer Work

AMAUTA Rainforest
AMAUTA offers the opportunity to have Spanish classes in the rainforest, the Tambopata National Park. The school itself is located in our special jungle lodge where three meals per day are provided. Classes and excursions are included in the program and the staff will be at the school with you all week long.AMAUTA Rainforest

AMAUTA offers the unique opportunity to participate in our Spanish Program in the picturesque Sacred Valley – it is a great base from which to explore the Valley.
