Our Student in Peru

Hi, I'm Nienke Smit, 22 years old. Last year I finished my study as a speech therapist. I decided to travel for half a year before I really begin to work. For as far as I have seen it, Peru is a great place to be. Cusco is a lively city, where you will never be bored. I have been here for seven weeks now. I have had four weeks of Spanish classes in the Spanish school AMAUTA. Now I am doing voluntary work in Cusco and I stay in the student house of AMAUTA. In my opinion, AMAUTA is the best place to learn Spanish. The teachers are really nice and capable. The atmosphere between the students (and the teachers) is very good. It is almost impossible not to make friends here, there is always someone to invite you to dinner or to go out. And, also important, my Spanish has really improved!

The school is quite high quality. The teachers are knowledgeable: make learning the material both interesting and easy. I would certainly recommend the school to those with a Spanish background or without, you will find the school quite beneficial.

I had a great time studying Spanish with AMAUTA in Cusco and Urubamba. The combination of living in a guest family and studying in the school is the perfect opportunity of improving your Spanish skills greatly in a short time. Teachers and staff are professional and very friendly. The community in the school feels like a big family.
After I studied Spanish for 4 weeks I now am volunteering in an after school project for kids, all organized by the school. I really can recommend this to anybody with all my heart. You improve your Spanish and help is really needed.

I really enjoyed studying Spanish in AMAUTA! The lessons are really good. I stayed in AMAUTAs student residence. That was a lot of fun! After my Spanish course I did voluntary work in Cusco, also provided by AMAUTA. It was a great experience.

Op dit moment volg ik de studie vrijetijdsmanagement te Diemen Zuid. In het derde jaar van deze studie loop je stage. Toen ik de kans kreeg om naar Peru te gaan om daar stage te lopen, heb ik deze kans met twee handen aangenomen. Sinds 3 mei ben ik bij AMAUTA stagiaire. Ik heb hier een toptijd! De eerste twee weken van mijn verblijf, heb ik Spaanse lessen gevolgd. Geweldige leraren die je graag een praatje met je maken, ook na de lessen! Daarnaast vele studenten van allerlei leeftijden en diverse culturen. In een woord fantastisch!!

Aprender español en esta ciudad linda que es Cusco, en una buena escuela como es AMAUTA, con excelentes profesores, viajando a bellisimos lugares y conociendo gente de todas partes del mundo fue realmente una oportinidad perfecta de mejorar mi español. I would highly recommend AMAUTA to any one interested in learning to speak Spanish. They have very nice facilities and are the most helpful people you can imagine. The teachers are great and they have a great program planned out. Even if you have never tried to learn any Spanish before or if you have had a year or two in High School or College, you will still have a learning experience that can´t compare with anything you can do in the States...I highly recommend this school and if you are not sure if it is for you write them an e-mail and discuss your questions with them or drop by the school they will be more than happy to show you around and tell you about their program...

I have found in AMAUTA a friendly, relaxed and warm welcome. With excellent teaching, made easy and fun because of the teachers themselves. As more than mature student I have found a new language and a whole bunch of new friends, and with time to spare for all the siteseeing available.
