If you are interested in working with us in Peru or Argentina and you plan to stay at least three months in the country, please contact us. Our offices are based both in Buenos Aires and Cusco. There are always opportunities to work abroad, depending on the season and your skills.

We are mostly interested in people with the following backgrounds: marketing, tourism, administration, translation, design, PR, webmasters, computer science and others. We will give you a great working abroad experience in South America in an international atmosphere with a lot of room for your own creativity. For most jobs we offer accommodation or Spanish lessons in exchange for work, but sometimes there are other possibilities depending on your experience.

Officially, your tourist visa does not allow you to work and it is very complicated to get a working permit. However, there are opportunities to stay longer and work in South America. Most of these jobs are in restaurants or bars and for these, it is easier to stop by once you are in town. It will be very difficult to arrange something beforehand via the internet.

You can also try to get a job at one of the language schools and teach English abroad or you could approach a travel agency catering for tourists that need English-speaking people. Often the language schools require a teaching qualification such as TEFL, a course we also offer at AMAUTA while improving your Spanish.

The other option is to be one of our volunteers and participate in our volunteer program. There are many volunteer opportunities abroad, in both Peru and Argentina. Possible fields of interest include social work, education, tourism, cultural work and catering. Volunteer placement sites include medical clinics, hospitals, after school projects for children, projects for street children, homes for elderly people, primary schools or kindergartens.
