The AMAUTA Volunteer Work Program provides the unique opportunity to live and work in Argentina. Students will experience first-hand its rich cultural diversity while cultivating a superior level of Spanish proficiency. Through the Volunteer Program, AMAUTA and the volunteers are able to make contributions to Argentinean society and to help bridge the gap between foreign visitors and native portenos.
TYPES OF VOLUNTEER PLACEMENT
Participants may choose both, the field and preferred location, of their volunteer placement. Possible fields of interest include social work, education, tourism, cultural work and catering. While most of AMAUTA's projects take place in Buenos Aires, there are also projects located outside of the city. A complete list of the 30 projects can be sent upon request.

SUPPORT OFFERED BY AMAUTA
Upon arrival to Buenos Aires, students receive an information package with preliminary information regarding the volunteer work experience. AMAUTA organises an introductory meeting with general information about Argentinean history and culture, working in Argentina as a foreigner, cultural differences and social hierarchy of Argentinean society. During a student's course of study, he/she will have the opportunity to personally discuss the appropriate placement in terms of goals, desired experiences etc. with the Volunteer Coordinator. During the placements, the weekly volunteer meetings enable volunteers to talk in general about their experiences and raise any concerns.

This allows the trainee to concentrate on the things that are really important, such as the content and the quality of the traineeship.
