Hello, my name is Harma and I am the office trainee at Amauta Spanish School. I study International Business & Languages at the Hanze University in Groningen, the Netherlands, and I am here on internship as part of my studies. I do market research for Amauta; Amauta wishes to expand to either Argentina or Mexico, therefore I investigate all the possibilities and conduct a questionnaire amongst the students. From my research outcomes, I will write an advice report on where (not) to expand to and why. Besides doing research, I work at the office at the Front Desk and write and translate texts for the website. I very much enjoy working at Amauta, because I meet lots of people from all over the world, I get to practice my language skills and I get to know an interesting new culture. In my spare time I try to see a bit of Peru and like to indulge myself into Cusco-life. I have even taken on salsa class! I very much recommend all students to go on internship in Peru!

After my two weeks living in Cuzco and studying Spanish at the Amauta Spanish language school, I came to appreciate the schools´ unique location in Cuzco (tucked in a valley of the steep Andes Mountains) which provided me with an exceptional and stimulating learning experience. The schools´ location near the Plaza de Armas allowed for a quick get away to the active city center to experience the ancient Incan landmarks, Spanish churches, museums, and wonderful restaurants.

Hola!
My name is Nelise and I am a student from Holland. I am doing my work placement at the Amauta School, the first few weeks I started with Spanish classes, the classes consisted of only three or four students and were very interesting, the teachers are nice and make jokes all the time.
I really think my Spanish is improving. I will stay for 6 more months in Peru, so I hope I will speak Spanish fluently at the end of my trip! For people who are thinking of taking classes at Amauta: Do it!. It will be a once in a life time experience.
