Does the school offer excursions and other activities?
Of course! Our own travel agency Dos Manos, conveniently located within our school building, will be happy to help you arrange your trips and excursions in Peru! We also have weekend trips for students. We offer activities every weekend, such as rafting, mountain biking, horse back riding, visiting Lake Titicaca, and, last but not least, to the famous ruins of Machu Picchu! Please write to

Please remember that you need to book your trip to Machu Picchu in advance, especially the Inca Trail (2-4 months before arrival).
What are the possibilities for visiting Machu Picchu?
Visiting Machu Picchu is one of the highlights of visiting Peru. There are various options to visit the lost city.
The Inca Trail
A four day hike from Cusco to Machu Picchu, this is a beautiful trek in the steps of the Incas. Spaces do fill up quickly so you need to book about two months in advance.
Other Hikes
There are numerous other hikes to Machu Picchu that are in the same region as the Inca Trail and just as beautiful, if not more so. These are the Jungle trek, the Lares trek, Salkantay and Choquekiraw.
Train Excursion
You can go by train to Machu Picchu if you don't wish to hike or prefer to go in comfort. There are two types of trains and you can choose from a one or two day trip.
