AMAUTA Spanish Courses
The standard AMAUTA program includes four hours of either private or group instruction per day, either morning or afternoon classes, consisting of two classes taught by two different, qualified teachers. This allows variety in teaching styles.
All AMAUTA teachers are native speakers and professionals who are committed to giving students the richest possible experience of Peruvian culture and customs.
In your group classes, teachers dedicate most of the time to practical activities and exercises through which students learn to understand and speak Spanish in a constructive manner. Students will also spend time on grammar exercises, writing and reading. Our teaching method is communicative.
Accommodation
We have a number of accommodation options available for you. Choose to stay with a local host family to accelerate your language learning and learn about the culture, or stay in our student accommodation, located within the school, or in a student flat. Alternatively we can arrange comfortable hotel or hostel accommodation for you nearby, or you are welcome to make your own arrangements.
Host Family
Staying with a host family is a great way to immerse yourself into the culture of Peru. You will learn traditional customs and the family way of life. This option is particularly excellent for practicing your Spanish and improving faster.
Student Residence
AMAUTA offers student accommodation within the school building in both private and shared rooms. This is very handy to be close for your Spansih classes and for meeting other students from around the world. We also have our own chef who prepares a delicious range of Andean and foreign cuisine. Breakfast and a delicious home-cooked three course lunch are included in this option.
Student Flats
For those students who are volunteering or studying for a period of longer than ten weeks, we have student flats nearby the school which offer a more comfortable living arrangement for longer periods of time. This also allows you to live and get to know others who are also staying for a few months.
