AMAUTA Peru offers the unique opportunity to get to grips with the Spanish language while immersing yourself in the rich culture of the former Incan Capital of Peru. At just one block from the Plaza de Armas, you couldn´t be better poised to explore all Cusco has to offer. AMAUTA Spanish School is not just a place to learn Spanish, it’s a great place to make friends and be part of a community! Students from all over the world come to AMAUTA which creates an incredible diversity of people and stories to share. Once you arrive you won’t want to leave!
The Spanish school fills a nice and spacious building up a small winding street from the main Plaza in Cusco. It boasts 10 classrooms, a common room for students, an internet café, our in-house travel agency Dos Manos and a sunny Spanish-style terrace with great views over the heart of Cusco. One of our student residences is also situated in the building; the 14 bedrooms lead off the terrace and also overlook it from the balcony above.
We offer a huge variety of Spanish courses, from our intensive 20 hours of group or individual classes per week to Super Intensive immersion programs of 30 or 40 hours per week, to Spanish with Inca Civilization or Medical Spanish, a program especially designed for health care workers that deal with Spanish speaking clients!
Our cultural courses have a diverse and interactive teaching style, including field trips to ruins and museums. And why not try a few Quechua classes too - learning the ancient Incan dialect gives an amazing insight into the history and culture of Cusco and Peru. And what about Spanish & Salsa, Spanish and Yoga, or Spanish and weaving?
For more daring types we offer combinations of Spanish with adventure activities and treks booked through our in-house travel agency Dos Manos. You could combine your Spanish learning with paragliding classes each day, or river rafting or a trek to the mystical citadel of Machu Picchu.
One of our most popular programs is our Spanish and Volunteer work program or Spanish and Internship Program, where AMAUTA builds a bridge between the foreign students that are interested in learning the Spanish language and to know about Peruvian culture, and the local people and projects in Peru.
