School Events

Often we also arrange activities in the school for students such as BBQs, or parties for particular events or holidays, for students and staff to get together and enjoy themselves.

Argentine Music

AMAUTA holds a musical workshop where you’ll have the chance to learn various instruments from Argentine history. There is no need to have experience playing an instrument nor be able to read music. Students will quickly learn to play some well-known songs. This is a must for people who are interested in Argentina´s popular culture and history of music.

Argentine Cooking Class

Join our cooking class, with our experienced chef, who makes tasty local treats. We also run a cooking workshop, designed for people who want to learn more about traditional Argentine cuisine and how to make tasty dishes local style! Argentina is very famous for its excellent quality of meat, and for cooking huge asados (BBQs), but also because of it´s empanadas and several dishes based on the famous Italian kitchen.

Argentine Dance

Every Friday night we run a dance class for all students to kick off the weekend. Each week we´ll learn one of either Salsa, Tango, Chacarera or Zamba. Join in and learn how to dance!

Latin American Movie Nights

Once a week we set up a theatre in our common room. We show popular local movies and popular Latin American movies, to help you practice your comprehension of the Spanish language and/or reading of the subtitles. Movies are helpful in practicing and learning the Spanish language.

Lectures on Argentine society, myths and legends

Each week we hold lectures about various topics of interest relating to Argentine society. Subjects range from progressions of society, to certain aspects of the culture, as well as particular myths and legends of the country. We also talk about Argentine´s icons, such as Evita Perrón, Carlos Gardél, or Diego Marrdona! We also discuss local places of interest which make good places to visit: you wouldn´t want to miss the famous MALBA museum, the Casa Rosada, El Caminito in La Boca, or the cemetery of Recoleta. But we will also show you many secrets of Buenos Aires, not discovered yet by the tourists.

While picking up some local information, this is also a great way to practice your Spanish comprehension, as all lectures are given in Spanish.
