Choosing to study Spanish in Cusco and coupling it with a visit to Machu Picchu accompanied by an AMAUTA teacher allows you to gain an in-depth knowledge of Machu Picchu while continuing with your Spanish language study.
We start this fantastic weekend with a visit to the magnificent ruins along with a guided tour to help explore this new world wonder. After some free time to wander around the ruins, we will depart for Aguas Calientes and spend the night in one of the hostels in this little village. There are two options for the following day. The first is to climb the famous Huayna Picchu mountain, which provides a spectacular view of the ruins of Machu Picchu. The second option is to depart from Aguas Calientes for the waterfalls in the valley of Mandor. The hike of Huayna Picchu is a 2-hour climb allowing you to experience more of the glorious ruins of Machu Picchu. The waterfalls in the Valley of Mandor begin with a local walk to see the local flora and fauna. At the end of your walk, you will arrive at the stunning waterfalls.
The teacher is present during the entire weekend, which gives excellent opportunities to learn about this ancient culture and to practice your Spanish. The train back to Cusco will depart around 16.00 in order to be back Sunday evening around 20.00. This is a fabulous weekend opportunity that should not be missed!
