Biography
Nace en Santiago de Chuco, Perú, en 1892. En 1918 publica su primer libro de poemas “Los heraldos negros” . En 1920 es acusado injustamente y encarcelado. En 1922 publica “Trilce” y viaja a París. En 1928 visita la Unión Soviética y España, cuando regresa a París es expulsado por razones políticas y se traslada a España.
En 1931 publica “El Tugsteno” . En 1932 regresa a París y vive en la ilegalidad. Muere en París en 1938.
