Hola, yo soy Julius! I am from Prague, in the Czech Republic! Learning Spanish is my hobby, and I usually take trips to Spain once a year. This trip is my first time in Latin America, and I am enjoying myself very much. I love everything about the Spanish-speaking world—the language, the culture, the cooking, etc.

I studied Spanish at AMAUTA´s school in Cusco for four weeks. My experience was incredible, as I met tons of interesting people from all over the world, including a good friend from Switzerland! I especially enjoyed the time I spent in classes with my Spanish professors. I feel like I connected with them, and I think we will keep in touch! I love having the opportunity to improve my Spanish and immerse myself in the Peruvian culture here in Cusco.

I´m excited to say that I will continue my time here at AMAUTA volunteering at a local primary school in Cusco for the next two months!

Hola, soy Frederico! I am from Italy.
I studied at AMAUTA Cuscovfor four weeks. I think that my Spanish improved a lot while I was here because I could immerse myself in the Spanish language both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition, I felt my classes prepared me for the exchanges I had with the local people in Peru because they focused on actual language acquisition, rather than just the writing or the grammar. Finally, it was so incredible to practice what I learned in class throughout my time exploring Cusco!

I also lived at the residence in the school and participated in some of the free activities, including the Peruvian cooking classes, which I liked a lot because Carmen (AMAUTA’s chef) is excellent! I also went to a chat about the Quechua language, which was very interesting. I would highly recommend AMAUTA to anyone interested in studying Spanish in Peru.

I came here with no Spanish, and now I can talk fluently. My homestay family experience was also really good because I could practise my Spanish at home. I would recommend studying at Amauta because it is a good school!

My name is Aleksandra Vernekohl, and I volunteered through Amauta Spanish School in Cusco. I was a volunteer in Cusco at an after-school project, where I played with the kids, helped with their homework, and helped prepare their daily snacks. It was fantastic to see how I could make the kids happy by spending time with them. I would, of course, recommend volunteering with Amauta Spanish School because I loved the children here, and it was a great experience.

My name is Daniela, I´m from Austria, and I´ve been here for two weeks learning Spanish in Peru. I liked my Spanish classes; the professors were all really good, and I liked their teaching methods. Though two weeks isn´t much time, my Spanish improved, so it would have been nice to stay longer to learn more. I also enjoyed the activities that they offered, as the cooking class. I would recommend Amauta Spanish School I hope I can come back next year!

I volunteered with Amauta Spanish School for three weeks. I was a volunteer in a home for children and moms in Cusco who have lived on the street.
There are about 20 kids and four moms in total, so it´s a big group, but a lot of fun! I mostly helped the kids with their homework, helped to keep them focused on their tasks, and played with them on the playground and at home. I would recommend volunteering with Amauta because they provide a lot of support and an open atmosphere. And I loved my project!

My name is Francesca Loux, and I studied Spanish here in Peru for four weeks. I did Spanish group lessons and 1 hour of individual classes per day. I liked the Spanish lesson because the teachers were very engaging and the other students were great as well. As a result, I feel like my Spanish improved a lot. Before I came here, I knew a few things from travelling, but AMAUTA truly helped me speed up on the grammar side of things. In addition, I learned more about the different tenses and conjugations. I would absolutely recommend studying at AMAUTA Spanish School because the teachers here are easy to talk to, everyone at the school is very engaging and welcoming, and the teaching style is very effective!

My name is Ben, and I studied for four weeks here at AMAUTA Spanish school. I took Spanish group classes and liked them a lot. I enjoyed the professors and the students; it was a good atmosphere. The schedule was nice because we had time in the afternoon to go around and explore Cusco. I feel like my Spanish improved a lot, and now I think I am at the point where I can understand most things, but I only need to practice conversation. The Christmas dinner with all the teachers, families, and students was nice. I would recommend studying at this school!

I took four weeks of Spanish classes at AMAUTA Peru, and after that, I volunteered at the local Sports Institute in Cusco.
I really liked the school´s environment. It was a pleasant, humble environment. The teachers at AMAUTA not only talk to students in class but also make an effort outside of class.
They were really great about making students feel welcome, which is very important for students travelling in Peru!

My name is Anastasiya Shved, and I studied Spanish here at AMAUTA. I loved my Spanish classes in Peru! My Spanish improved a lot after just being here in Cusco for three weeks. I am more confident in my conversation skills and interacting with other Spanish speakers. I even made some Spanish friends! I really liked that the classes here didn´t only teach me the language but also taught me about the history and cultures of the Spanish speaking world. I would absolutely recommend studying at this school because of the high teaching level, the integration of Spanish grammar, conversation, and cultural experiences, and, last but not least, the excellent location of the school in the centre of Cusco.

My name is Grytsje de Vries, and I participated in the Spanish (1 week) and Volunteering (4 weeks) at AMAUTA Spanish School in Peru. I liked the Spanish classes because they were so much fun; we laughed a lot! I stayed with a homestay family and in the AMAUTA student residence, and I liked both. But I liked the student residence more because it was more centrally located, and I loved meeting all the people there. The highlight of volunteering at a school for deaf children, were the children themselves because they were always so happy and friendly!

My name is Lindsay Dyke, and I am from Canada. I came to Peru for two weeks of Spanish. I took both group and individual Spanish lessons. I learned a lot while I was here. I came to Peru as a beginner, and my confidence grew a lot over these last two weeks. I really liked that I got to stay with the same group throughout my time here. The week that I started was all girls, and we became very close. We always went out to dinner together in the evenings and did some tours together on the weekends, so I made some great friendships here in just two weeks. I would absolutely recommend studying at AMAUTA Spanish School because it is very well-organized, has excellent communication before coming, and the office staff is easily accessible, understanding, and supportive.

My name is Christopher, and I’ve been attending Spanish classes at AMAUTA for four weeks. One of those weeks I spent at the AMAUTA campus in the Sacred Valley, in the Peruvian countryside. It was nice to get out of the city of Cusco for a while. With a small group of students, we’ve gotten closer together and had the opportunity to hike in nature, explore the valley, and stuff like that—our Spanish teachers with living here with us. The food was delicious. My Spanish skills improved a lot. I would definitely recommend this Spanish course to other students. You will see more of the real Peru. I was really happily surprised, and it was a great thing that the school offered this opportunity to learn Spanish in the Peruvian countryside.
