My name is Fernanda and I am from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I am in AMAUTA now for 8 weeks and I will stay until December. I love this school because the teachers and the staff are so friendly. AMAUTA is like my home, everyone here is like family. Learning Spanish is fun because the teachers are entertaining and always playing games with the students. I meet people from over the whole world here and can talk about the different cultures. When I return to Brazil, I will never forget AMAUTA and hope that in the near future I can come back here to visit all my old friends and make even more new ones.

My arrival at AMAUTA Buenos Aires was as like stepping into a warm bath. Friendly staff, good facilities, interactive teaching; they have put everything well together. I started with intermediate classes, because I took classes in my homecountry too. Even though, the classes at AMAUTA enriched my Castellano every day. And I think that is mainly because they teach in various ways. One day the teachers take you to the park, the other you're reading (and singing) Argentinean songs. So I didn't only learn Spanish, I too learned a lot about the Latin American culture! Buenos Aires is an incredible place to study Spanish. AMAUTA is located in the lovely tranquil neighbourhood of Belgrano. Close to busy and vibrant Palermo. The hostfamilies and hostel that can be arranged via AMAUTA, are close to the school. From the school it's only a few stops with the metro to nice areas such as Recoleta and San Telmo. Buenos Aires rocks! AMAUTA is one of the best memories I have of my trip in South America. I could recommend everyone that wants to learn Spanish to check it out.

I have been in Buenos Aires for almost 4 weeks now, and I really love it here. The city is great, the Spanish classes are very good, and all the people from AMAUTA are so nice. The first 3 weeks I stayed in a host family, which was very good for practicing my Spanish, I was forced to talk it al day, which really helped me, and now I am living in a hostel which also is a lot of fun. At the moment I am volunteering in an orphanage, and these kids are amazing. Sometimes they actually fight for my attention, so I try and hug every one of them as much as possible. It just feels so good to see them smile.

I am staying in Buenos Aires for two months. After that I will be traveling in and around Argentina. The first 4 weeks here in Buenos Aires I am learning Spanish at AMAUTA. The 4 weeks after that I will be doing volunteer work. I am here now for two weeks. I am absolutely enjoying my time here at AMAUTA. I really like my Spanish lessons. The teachers are very nice and I felt very welcome here the first few days. Imagine being in a strange, big city and you do not speak the language; it is very nice to have a place where you feel welcome. At AMAUTA I felt immediately at home. And for me it was a good place to meet new people. Everybody is really nice here. For the first 4 weeks I will be staying in a host family (which I really like) After that I will move to a hostel. I am really looking forward to the volunteer work and I am thinking of taking Spanish lessons then as well. I am enjoining my stay in Buenos Aires and the Spanish lessons!

The Spanish course I took at AMAUTA was a really good experience. The amount of people in one class (my class had about 5/6 people) was perfect, more would be too much. The teachers were really nice and tried to make you talk in Spanish instead of English, which improved my Spanish. Also my host family was really nice, I had a lot of freedom and the ´mother´ was really generous. The activities that were organized after the lessons were nice as well and the staff was really helpful. There was a laid-back atmosphere and the things you could use for free, internet and luggage-storage, really good. The volunteer work was also a good experience and it was nice that I could have a look there before I started to work there. I liked it a lot at AMAUTA!

I have been here in Buenos Aires for two months and it was a great experience!!!!! And I will never forget my experience here!!! I enjoyed the Spanish course and the volunteer work a lot. The people are very friendly and nice and they tried to make me happy to work there. I've learned now how to work with little baby's, because i'm was really afraid to work with them. But I learned that they only need love and holding and attention. It was an great experience!!!!!
