The 8 weeks that I stay with AMAUTA are great. 4 Weeks of Spanish and then 4 weeks of volunteer work. I started learning Spanish for the first time and after 4 weeks I can already manage to speak Spanish! It is fun and cozy in the school. De teachers talk with you about the weekend and with students from over the whole world it is always something new and different!

AMAUTA is a fun school. Not only to learn Spanish but also to get familiar with the culture. De classes are very personal and Cusco is a great city to explore with the other students.

I have been studying at AMAUTA now for almost 4 weeks and i have to admit that so far it has been a great experience for myself to be part of such a great place full of culture, friends and enthusiasm. During my past four weeks of studying Spanish i have learnt alot thanks to being provided by great teachers in a great atmosphere. Also studying with others helped alot in understanding and opening my eyes more to different questions and situation. From having absolutely no idea about the Spanish language to being able to communicate although not fluently but clearly is a witnessed miracle.
Full of enthusiasm; looking forward to more Spanish classes and to volunteer work as well.

I have spent two months here with AMAUTA as both a student and resident. The staff here are all friendly and helpful. The location of the school is perfect. The classes were intensive and incredibly helpful for life here in Cusco, not just grammar but culturally informative. The variety of teachers was excellent in experiencing different reaching styles and comprehension of different accents. The residence at the school was comfortable with a friendly, social atmosphere and a great place to practice your Spanish skills. Overall, Cusco and AMAUTA are great places to combine a holiday and learning.

In AMAUTA you get a warm welcome. There are classes on different levels and the lessons are given by good, professional and enthusiastic teachers, who care about their students. In the breaks you can drink tea on the nice terrace and talk to the other students and teachers. In the evening other things are organized.

AMAUTA Spanish school is a great place to learn Spanish. There are a lot of different ways to receive lessons. Besides the lessons, there are a lot of other things to do: cooking, salsa lessons and other courses. I had a great time here and it felt like a home. The rooms, the terrace and everything felt like home and there were always people to talk with. I would recommend AMAUTA, because I learned really good Spanish and made a lot of friends here.

When I first arrived here I felt at home immediately. AMAUTA staff is really friendly and tries to make AMAUTA a second home, they will help you with everything that´s possible. I would definitely return.

The Spanish lessons are really good, I learned a lot in a very short time. If you want to have a good time, good classes and nice people AMAUTA is a good place.

I also worked as a volunteer which was really great. I wish I could have stayed longer and worked more time as a volunteer, because it´s really rewarding work.

Why would I recommend AMAUTA?

  • If you want to know other students or staffmembers and you love to talk, I think the best option for you are the student houses.
  • If you like to eat good and a lot of food, then live in the student houses.
  • If you like to have a hot shower, come to AMAUTA (it´s special in Peru taking a hot shower all the time).
  • If you like to get lessons from good teachers and you are not afraid to talk about yourself, AMAUTA is a good place for you.

Conclusion: If you are looking for a friendly, safe and a little bit crazy space, come to AMAUTA and enjoy!

I made a very good experience with AMAUTA.
In general the teachers are young, well-educated and “know their stuff” very well. This fact leads to an interesting, funny and effective learning environment. Moreover, the fact that the teachers can identify with the needs and requirements of people their age leads to interesting topics to talk about in the courses: it´s like a nice conversation with a friend.
The approaches to the explanations of gramatical forms were always understandable and helpful and the teachers could easily identify the weak spots to work on – and did so with engagement.
Besides, the school seems to pay a lot of attention at the choice of the guest families. I was received as a long missed family member and have the feeling that I will leave as part of the familiy.
Last but not least, the fellow students were adorable, which made the activities (allhere I party!!!) real delight.
THANK YOU AMAUTA! recommended :-)

Why would you recommend AMAUTA?

I liked the atmosphere at school with the teachers in class and afterwards. The teachers have a lot of experience to teach. I loved the avtivities after classes, for example movies or salsa lessons. The rooms are really good and the school is a great place to spend your time in Cusco. All the people here do good work and help you out whenever they can. Finally the most important thing: the food is delicious
