I would recommend AMAUTA because it is a good way of combining learning Spanish, meeting people from all over the world and exploring the Cusco area. The classes in AMAUTA are not like usual classes at school. Since the groups are very small, there is always a relaxed and fun atmosphere and the teachers are open for discussions on all kinds of subjects. We sometimes went on little excursions as well, e.g. to the Mercado San Pedro or an art museum. Furthermore, I found some really good friends among the AMAUTA students – really there wasn´t a day when I felt homesick or lonely. And of course Cusco is a great spot with lots of nightlife and many options of different activities, such as: rafting, paragliding, trips to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu or to the jungle. So if you want to learn Spanish in Peru, AMAUTA in Cusco is definitely a good choice.

Bonjour! Hi! Buenos dias!

As a French and English speaking professor, 61 years old, it might be quite difficult to learn and speak a third language.

Not with AMAUTA Spanish School!

The key of their success lies in the multi functional learning strategy that I could call "LA IMERCION TOTAL!" with "la familia española" 24 hours a day, within small classes of 4 to 6 students, we are involved in a cultural, political, historical, grammatical and dynamic environment.

The very competent professors know quite well how to manage not only young students, but also oldies like me with discussions, exercises, questions and answers.

That's the way to learn a new language, to cope with the locals and to make friends! All over the world!

Thanks AMAUTA

My time in Cusco was really fun! At first I was a bit scared because I didn’t know the language of any people but everyone is really nice in Cusco and especially at AMAUTA. The lessons are good you can have private or group lessons, depends on your level.

I really had a wonder full time in Cusco, thanks to AMAUTA and the volunteer work it both helps you to meet new people and practice your Spanish. I can recommend it to anyone who is thinking to do this, to go to Cusco, take lessons at AMAUTA, dance Salsa eat cuy etc. You will have a wonderful time here that you will never forget!

AMAUTA School is a really nice place to take your Spanish classes. They have really nice teachers and different classes. So you will start in a class on your own level. I didn’t speak any Spanish when I got here but I’m surprised how much I knew already after four weeks of group classes. I do understand a lot and I’m able to say what I want and to ask questions. The teachers also teach you a bit about the culture and history of Cusco. Which is really interesting the school is situated in a really nice building, close to the main square of Cusco and the most import places. So they are many restaurant and bars closeby.

At school you will meet people from all around the world, what gives you a nice opportunity to plan trips together during the weekends. The school also gives you the opportunity to do a week of classes in Taray or Manu. I can really recommend the Manu Program. For 6 days you are living in the rainforest between exotic birds and different species of monkeys. You will have your normal group classes but also have guided trips every day. It’s an amazing experience

I was told by local Peruvians that AMAUTA is the best Spanish school in cusco, and from my experience, the high quality education I have received is superior to any other Spanish courses I have taken. Moreover, there are so many options to cater to any preference. You can take small group or private lessons, do all kinds of volunteer work, and stay at the school or with a host family. I personally have thoroughly enjoyed living with a very hospitable and all around lovely family. The staff at AMAUTA is equally friendly and willing to cater to every need. They are helping me get course credit from my university for the classes I am taking here. It is also so convenient to have Dos Manos travel agency in the same building. They have helped me organize un unforgettable trips to places like machu picchu and the amazon rainforest. I am also staying in shape walking up calle suecia everyday to have a nice warm mate de coca waiting for me at the school. I recommend AMAUTA to anyone who really wants to learn Spanish and experience life in Peru.

AMAUTA improves your spanish at a rapid pace, particularly if you do the best of both course! Several of the teachers are very encouraging and use multiple modes of teaching, particularly Libia and Patty. Staying at the school was excellent! It was comfortable and the hub of all the activity among students.

Myself and my son are travelling in South America, we had an extra week in cusco and I decided to use this as an opportunity to learn Spanish. We inquired about classes at a few schools but the staff at AMAUTA where the most friendly + informative and appeared to be the most well structured. It was very easy to enroll with the schools after an evaluation of our level of Spanish we were each allocated a class. My son who is 7 ½ years old was given a private class of 2 hours a day perfect for me. This teacher Jakeline was extremely child centred. I ended up having a private lesson which consisted of 2 hours with Paule and are hour with Elsa. It was great to have the input from two teacher. I would highly recommend learning Spanish with AMAUTA
