The professors at AMAUTA made the classes challenging though they were still a great deal of fun! I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the school and loved meeting all of the other students. The school provides plenty of opportunities outside of class so that one can learn about the culture. This enhances the whole experience here in Peru.

AMAUTA is a great school with a lot of options. They can help you find a course where you have different options and levels to choose from. You can combine your course with volunteering which is a great opportunity to learn about the way of living in Peru. AMAUTA also offers different excursions as well. You can take a week and go to the sacred valley or to the jungle. There are also activities at the school like music and cooking classes. The teacher speak Spanish very cleary and you will understand it well and quickly. Cusco is a wonderful place as well to be in for awhile.

Cusco is a vibrant city and is just the right size. The school is in a really great location and even if you do not always stay at the school, if is easy to combine Spanish lessons with sightseeing in and around the city. Many people take long weekend to go and visit the famous Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. The teachers here are very professional and you can always count on improving your Spanish at AMAUTA. Whiltst here if you feel you need to go at a faster or slower pace you can talk to the staff and they will help you out. Another highlight if you live at the school is the non teaching staff. The kitchen staff prepare breakfast and lunch and are really nice as are the night staff who are friendship and helpful. There is plenty to do during the week. For example, the cooking classes and the salsa classes are great. There is also a common living room there where you can watch DVD´s or peruvian TV.

At AMAUTA you can choose between many different courses combined with excursions, music classes, cooking classes, much culture and alot more! It is interesting to learn not only Spanish but more about the country from the teacehrs. They are very experienced and helpful and the people who work at AMAUTA can really help you with any questions or requests. Living at the school makes it very easy to meet other students outside of your own classmates. You have breakfast and lunch with people from all over the world! In between classes the students relax outside on the terrace and it´s really great! Next to AMAUTA I would recommend Cusco as it is a town with much to do where you can meet alot of different people. It is a great place to visit and the nightlife is excellent. I only have one week left here and that is really sad especially because I have met alot of great friends here. However, the great thing is knowing that after you leave AMAUTA you can visit all of your new friends which is really nice!

The teachers use a variety of methods for teaching – games, fun dialogues, story writing and visits to places in town. There are 21 different teachers per week so you are always introduced to different accents and teaching styles. Every week there is a different grammatical focus and you can tell the teachers are using a very established method of teaching and are communicating with each other. Also, everyone in the office is ready to help you even when they are very busy. They find the time or find the right person and do so kindly.

The most important thing here at AMAUTA is that there is a really good atmosphere. It really is amazing and the location here is quiet and perfect for Spanish classes. I´m glad that I knew some Spanish before coming here to Cusco. Being here at AMAUTA helped me learn more, especially how to speak using the past tense. Though, sometimes both teachers used the same subjects and repeated each other. The extra curricular activities were okay and the accommodation was also nice. There were always clean sheets and the the beds were nice. I always looked forward to breakfast in the morning and lunches were also very good. Sometimes though I did leave the table hungry. To be honest, I was here for one week and feel that the price that I paid was too high for the services we got.

I really enjoyed my stay here in AMAUTA, especially because there are alot of nice people from all over the world and especially North America. You are here to work on your Spanish but you can also improve your english. It never gets boring here because you can always meet people and go for a walk, have dinner, or watch some movies. Cusco is a beautiful city with lots of amazing cafes, restaurants, clubs, museums and ruins. You really feel welcome here.

All of the teachers are excellent and the lessons are fun and interesting. In only 3 weeks I feel like I have learned so much. Lessons outside on the terrace were great and the visit to San Pedro market was very interesting and a wonderful way to practice what we have learned.

AMAUTA is a great school! The teachers are professional and very nice. They really try and help you to improve your spanish. Furthermore, I have met alot of nice people who also have similar plans for travelling as I do. The student house is a bit pricey but it is in a good location with comfortable rooms and a hot shower. There is also an amazing view of Cusco.
