A Surpresa”

The people are very nice and helpfull, the students are diverse and all very nice and eager to learn, to travel and to meet new people. You have the chance to live with a family which is a great opportunity to learn more Spanish, and to learn about Peruvian customs and culture. At school they have a travel agency to easily book/ plan trips. Free Internet also makes it easy and cheap to communicate. A laundry service is also provided that makes it easy to have your clothes washed.

I have been to another intensive language course and can tell you that I find the course here at AMAUTA excellent. The teaching materials, class organization, placement of students and the learning environment are very good. The teachers are super and everyone on staff at AMAUTA is friendly and helpful. I´m certain your experience here will be as positive as mine.

I am not a student at AMAUTA, but a volunteer worker and live at the students residence. As a volunteer worker I get one hour of free Spanish classes per week. This is not much, but the best way to learn Spanish is practice anyway, and the classes are nice and good for questions about the ‘real life’.... Living at the residence is nice (although not really good for your Spanish..... The good thing about the residence is that you meet a lot of other people with whom you can go out on weekend trips and also learn from more than just one culture...
Further, the residence is nice with a great view over the city, a nice small kitchen (not that anybody ever cooks...), a tv/ radio and is situated close to the main Plaza. It is a really nice place to learn Spanish and have a good time in a different world.

My sister and I are studying at AMAUTA now for two weeks. When I started I didn't know any Spanish. I can't really have big conversations yet, but I can make my self understood. We stay in a host family and have the time there to study and practice. Our ‘Mother' in the family is so friendly and we have so much fun about the mistakes we sometimes make while we try to speak Spanish.
In our spare time we do lots of things with the other students like hiking, going out for dinner, going to the cinema.
Very good way to learn Spanish and meet other people.

My experience at AMAUTA was fantastic. My host family was wonderful and the accommodations were excellent. The professors utilize a balanced approach to conversation and grammar which develop the student’s ability to speak and understand Spanish. I was also happy to be thoroughly introduced to various aspects of Latin American and Peruvian culture through the many extracurricular activities offered by the School. I can recommend esta escuela without reservation. ¡Thanks!

Merci viu mau!

I'm staying here for 2 weeks now, still 2 weeks to go. Already I know how to have a conversation in Spanish, even if it is a small one. The teachers here are great and for sure they know what they are doing. I stay at a guest family and that is very helpful to my Spanish. The family is great and they have been carefully selected, that's obvious. I would recommend staying at a family. The students here at AMAUTA are also very nice, everybody is in the same position that's why we are all one big group with several levels of Spanish.
