When I travel, I want to know about the culture and the history of the place, not just see the sights. That's why I choose a program with AMAUTA: the combination of going to Spanish classes, living with a family, doing tours during the weekend and doing volunteer work gave me the opportunity to do that.
In the residence for elderly people, where I volunteered, I felt like I made a difference in some people's lives. Even if it was temporary, I made a difference!.
I enjoyed my volunteer placement in Cusco a lot. On arrival at the project I felt welcome and my role as a volunteer as well as the reason behind the project, was well explained. The staff answered all my questions and considered some ideas I had. I arrived daily round 3pm and enjoyed playing with the children. Sometimes we would do painting, or games, or I helped with their homework. We served dinner around 5, afterwards we clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
My experience at AMAUTA was fantastic!.
My class was interesting and to visits to local sites made it unique to Cusco.
My professors were well informed, passionate and open to questions.
My host family was welcoming and wonderfull.
AMAUTA Spanish School was an incredible experience for me. At first, I didn't know what to expect, but I was immediately welcomed into the AMAUTA family and met so many wonderful people. The teachers are the best Spanish teachers I've ever had and they have a unique style of teaching that is extremely helpful and effective.
I have learned so much during my time here and made so many great friends along the way. Thank you!.
Though my stay here was very short, I really love the city of Cusco and this school. It was much better than I expected. Thank you!.
It Is a very fun school. I had such a great time here. I love the way the instructors taught me the grammar, and not just grammar, but also the history of Cusco. My stay in Peru here was unforgettable. Hugs and kisses..
AMAUTA has creative teachers who are teaching with heart, they create funny situations for learning. The administration gives you all the information you need about Cusco for activities and you don’t have a feeling of being ‘in school’. Thank you so much..
It is a colourful and multicultural experience. I had Spanish classes with very fun, entertaining, and extremely kind professors. As the school is very familial and individual..
The time here at AMAUTA in Peru was very special. I really enjoyed the classes of Spanish and the volunteering in Cusco. I learned a lot and made friends for life. I will never forget all the special moments..
At the beginning we couldn't find the entrance at the Calle San Agustin, you have to cross the artesan’s shop to the courtyard. In the first week maybe it would be better to learn with pictures. I really liked the salsa lessons – it is a good idea..
