Buenos Aires is the perfect place to live your dream as a shopaholic, as there are plenty of shopping malls to visit. The term “shop till you drop” has arguably been invented here in Argentina.
Are you one of those students at our school here in Buenos Aires that love shopping? Here are some options for you, for a nice weekend of a afternoon after Spanish class in Buenos Aires.

Abasto Shopping
This shopping mall has turned into one of the most visited in Buenos Aires. The architecture on the outside makes it a sightseeing hotspot, while on the inside you can live your dream as a shopaholic. The shopping mall is located 10 minutes from the city center and is situated near the Carlos Gardell metro station (Line B). -
Alto Palermo
As its name suggests, this shopping mall is located in Old Palermo. It is among the most famous shopping malls of the city and is a preferred hotspot by women. The mall has a modern feel and if you want to relax after a long day of shopping, you can eat at one of the many little restaurants or watch a movie in the mall´s cinema. The mall is located 13 minutes from the city center and is best reached by taking the metro until the Bulnes stop (Line C).

Buenos Aires Design
Praised for its beautiful design, this shopping mall is a dream come true for all fashion and design lovers. The unique feature of this shopping mall is that it has rooftop teracces where you can relax with a cool drink once you are done shopping. It is located on Recoleta and is best reached by taking a taxi or by taking the metro until the Las Heras stop (Line H). -
El Solar Shopping
This shopping mall is located in one of the most exclusive areas of the city: Palermo Las Cañitas. For a chiq and exclusive day out, this is the place to be. The shopping mall is located in Palermo and is located near the Olleros stop (Line D).

Galeria Güemes
This historic mall is located in the heart of the center. The big shopping street of Calle Florida runs along Galeria Güemes; so if you are done visiting Galeria Güemes, you will find even more shops on Calle Florida. Moreover, in the shopping mall, you will find a lookout which provides a beautiful panorama of the city. The shopping mall is easily reached by taking the metro to the Florida stop (Line B).
