Welcome to our Blog

Hola!  Welcome to the AMAUTA Spanish Schools blog!

At our Spanish Schools in Cusco and Buenos Aires, we provide the best Spanish courses and cultural immersion experiences for our students.  We encourage our students to step outside of the Spanish classroom, to enjoy the local culture, make Spanish-speaking friends, and travel in Peru and Argentina.  During or after finishing your Spanish course, we greatly encourage participation in our volunteer program in Cusco or Buenos Aires, where you will really get the chance to practice and improve your  Spanish language skills and give back to local community.

Here at our AMAUTA blog, we aim to keep you posted about what is happening out our Spanish schools, as well as what´s going on in and around the cities of Cusco and Buenos Aires.  We´ll also post fun articles about Peruvian and Argentinian culture, cuisine,  local fiestas, what to see in Cusco, & where to go in Buenos Aires, etc.

We´ll include advice about which weekend excursions to sign up for and which free cultural activities are available. And after reading our section of student reports, you´ll know exactly why you want to study Spanish at AMAUTA in Cusco and Buenos Aires.

AMAUTA Skype lessons

AMAUTA does not only offer Spanish in Peru and Spanish in Argentina. We also offer Spanish classes in your own house, at the time thats most convenient for you, at your own pace : Spanish via Skype!

This is a great and very affordable way to improve your Spanish skills. Our experienced teachers in Peru will make a study plan with you and topics of your personal interest can be included and prepared.

Our Spanish Skype lessons are not only for ex-AMAUTA students or future AMAUTA student – a great way in both cases to either continue your classes with your teacher, or, to know your teacher before arrival to either Cusco or Buenos Aires.

AMAUTA Volunteer in Cusco donates games and puzzles to Peruvian kids in a clinic

One of our volunteers in Peru, William T. Mautz, took time away from his busy life to participate in the AMAUTA volunteer Program in Cusco. Mautz has a Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology and founded a center of neuropsychological evaluations for children from the Boston area. He went to Peru with his daughter Grace, 15 years old, to volunteer for a week in a clinic for disabled children in Cusco.

For Grace this is a great opportunity to build on her Spanish skills and to volunteer on a short time basis, which is the only option for a high school student. Also, Williams motivation as a dad was for his daughter to get more knowledge on goodness. AMAUTA Spanish School in Peru was the only place where it was possible to take part on a volunteering program for just one week.
