Learn Spanish in the Rainforest in Peru
A fantastic week of Spanish immersion in Peru, in the Peruvian jungle! The Tambopata area is famous for its unique wildlife; the biggest mineral clay lick in the world can be found here, the Macaw’s clay lick. Thousands of parrots, parakeets, and macaws meet and congregate here daily here to lick the clay: a fantastic spectacle. Another highlight of this Spanish Immersion Program in the jungle is visiting a local community of native people who live in small villages along the Tambopata River.
Spanish Group courses are combined with excursions with experienced Peruvian jungle guides in a stunning setting beside the flowing Tambopata river. Part of the conversation topics in the Spanish class will be adapted to the environment and studying the ecology of the amazing tropical Rainforest of Tambopata. AMAUTA teachers from Cusco will accompany students during the whole trip.
The lodge where the Spanish course takes place is located approximately one hour by boat from Puerto Maldonado. There are bungalows with panoramic views and bathrooms, a large common room and outdoor spaces. A week of Spanish course in Tambopata includes transportation from the airport in Puerto Maldonado to the lodge, accommodation, meals, daily activities and excursions and Spanish lessons!
