The Santa Catalina Monastery, Arequipa
The entrance of the Santa Catalina Monastery of Arequipa. The monastery was built in 1579 and is still inhabited by around 20 nuns nowadays. The monastery is open for tourists since a few decades and it is definitely worth a visit, as it is one of the most impressive colonial religious building in Peru.
