Josué Mendez

Biography

( Lima, 1976) is a Peruvian filmmaker.
Born in Lima, Peru in 1976. He studied Film and Latin American Studies at Yale University. In 1998 he founded the production Chullachaki Productions in partnership with Tito Bonicelli.
In 2004 he presented his first film, entitled Days of Santiago, in the Rotterdam Film Festival. This was also the first feature film producer Chullachaki.
In 2006 he wrote in collaboration with Aldo Miyashiro, scripts of the first two seasons of the series The Great Blood.
Between 2006 and 2007, Josué Méndez was advised by British director Stephen Frears as part of "Arts Initiative, Rolex Mentor and Protégé."
Gods, his second feature, was introduced in 2008 at the Festival of Lima.
